Fun on the Floor House - Modern Victorian Gothic Living Room

With an atmosphere of gorgeous opulence and some dramatically daring use of luxury carpet, this Modern Victorian Gothic styled living room is the stuff of dreams turned into reality!

"Wow!" is the word on everyone's lips when they see this stunning example of living room decoration for the first time... and they're still saying "Wow!" when they leave!

This room is extremely impressive with its dramatic, ultra cool 'Gothic' look and modern Victorian interior decorating style. The current trend for outsized, gigantic furniture is reflected in the room's super-massive sofas which have been covered in deep, dark red carpet with a thick pile that you positively sink into when you sit down.

On the floor we find a wonderful, deep pile 'antique Persian' style red carpet, exclusively imprinted with Danielle's own design - a Victorian style 'monkey' print, in gold, which is then framed by a dark red border.

To compliment all this extravagant use of luxury carpet, the curtains were made in equally lavish style using a patchwork of luscious Gainsborough silks, which were then hand-finished and topped off with their own individual 'gargoyles'! Each of the ornate standard lamps has been playfully dressed in a different way, so that they all have their own unique and distinctive 'boutique' characters. The lighting is important in this room, so both up-lighting and down-lighting have been used to create some dramatic tension.
